Eddie 'the mascot from Iron Maiden' which rockloving humanbeing hasn't heard or seen anything from him.
Originally drawn by Derek Riggs from a deadmans-scalp and a monster he already knew of, combined together was the first album coverwork.
From all sorts of scenery's and set-ups to now Eddie has always been a creature to reckon with. Even stabbed Margareth 'The Iron Lady' Tatcher down for tearing down posters on the wall. Threatened Bill Gates for christmas and even fought the devil himself. He traveled the world and into deep space and to far away in the future. He goes along every tour and doesn't miss a show.
The last album has a crappy coversleeve, it isn't Eddie. But the band keeps going on very strong for over 36 years now.
Their was poll about it, maybe you've seen or heard something about that, but the first contest is a fact.
Eddie in a set-up from the "Olympic games 2012 in London". July 17 to august 12, so end-date will be august 12. So you will have more then 5 months time to design something.
Rules:
Most submissions will be digital or traditional.
So no photography (dolls or sculps for example), literature and/or (sorry to say) crappy (eg: sketches) works allowed. And photomanipulation only if it's looking really awesome.
Finished "NEW" works only, more entries per person allowed.
Good quality artworks. Scans of artworks are allowed, photography of a drawing or painting is allowed. Just don't let it be fuzzy/unclear.
And to make it clear, "Olympic games" is the theme. You can submit your entries inhere
